You cant climb any of the ingame ladders….the game is over 10years old and you have never been allowed to climb ladders without the use of a mod, and the mods no longer work on version b42 ever since multiplayer was introduced….
the devs think it will be " too easy " if thyey allowed you to climb ladders to get on top of roof tops, yet they decided to add ladders to the game anyway…..
yeah, it would give you an easy ESCAPE, but now you are stuck on a fcking roof with a ton of zombies at the bottom. A whole new problem to deal with. How is that easy?
in real life if i am getting surrounded by zombies and i see a ladder leading up to a safe rooftop you bet your ass i am climbing it, the fact that we cant is ****ing retarded and jut ruins the whole game for me.
And this is not common knowledge for new players either, you have to find out the hard way that ladders are actually just for show in this game world and cant be climbed. -

Nah only certain buildings have ladders. The industrial building have ladders for decoration. I dont kniw why you even need to climb the ladder. Just use the stairs or a rope.

I want to live on a rooftop like this for example. And by all rights I should be ****ing able too because there is a ladder right fcking there but your character just refuses to climb it and it just pisses me off lol.
I want to live on that top of that roof in a tent with water collecters and fireplaces, and then clear out the building below and eventally fill it with booby traps for zombies but I ****ing cant because the devs think that would be too easy.
And yeah I played Multiplayer recently, when i could finally get on a server i survived for 3 in game weeks, had a nice little base going near rosewood, I was even more proud of this as I joined the server after many in game weeks had passed and players had picked clean the towns that we spawn in, only loot that respawned was ****ty food items like salt or a bag of chips. Was going great and then I saw in chat they they were talking about wipeing the server in a few days and I just gave up.
The thing about single player is tho it is fcking boring as ****, knowing that you will not see so much as an NPC.
B43 is when we are getting NPCs they say, but that could take years. -

I see what you mean. The ladder is there as though you could climb it. Why anyone would wanna live utop a roof is beyond me. What about rain and snow? Or did you turn that off in the settings?

You mean with explosives? Okay since there is no damage to any structures or vehicles. Only the zombies or the character suffer damages from explosives like PIPE BOMBS. Dont use fire though.

Oh thats too bad. I have. I ised to have blizzards enabled. It was a bitch. You could change the time and time the apocalypse begins in the sandbox settings.
But rain, the character gets wet and is uncomfortable. I guess comfort dont matter to you???
As it is, the longer the character has that uncomfortable moodlet, sadness moodlet is next and the despair. Just saying.

Its just a game, Dane. Geesh. It aint supposed to be real life. How do you like that muascle strain bullshit?? That is real life they threw into gameplay.
It gets on my nerves. It kills my character.

I checked out the mods before ever playing the game and that is where I saw the ladder mod, so I knew going into the bgame that ladders were not normally climable, how did you find out? by trying to climb one and not being able to? did you google it, thinking you were pressing the wrong button? lol

Yeah I watched a twitch stream wjere the guy was building his base out of a traincare out by the railroad. He climbed the ladder. I was like, whoa ****! We can climb ladders now? He was like, no. This is a mod.

its funny because if you have a sledge hammer, you can destory a staircase in a house and then make a rope out of sheets and throw it out the window and use that as your way of exit and entery, zombies cant climb sheet ropes….
so if you just find the right tool( not all that hard to do ), you can create the exact same scenario that the devs think is " too easy " yourself…..so why not just let us climb ****ing ladders??

Tents are for sleeping and resting. Amd a tent is uncomfortable even with a pillow even with the expensive sleeping bag. You cannot watch tv or listen to radio inside the tent. You cannot eat inside the tent either. Soo…you make no sense at all.
Just clear the area of zombies then youre good. Thats what I do.
I dont bother hunting for the sledgehammer knocking down stairs. I dont bother with the sheet rope. Matter of fact, I watched a clip of MilquestToast Claire fall 2 stories from the roof top cuz she missed the sheet rope. That was the end of her long run.
Fcuk that roof top and dem stairs.

The lifestyle mod works on solo b42 updated version. It doesnt work on the updated b42 muktiplayer version.
I quit playing multiplayer b42 cuz the moderators keep having to wipe the server like 2 times a day. We lose some of our ****. Aint nobody hot time for all that. We work hard to gain progress in the game.
And anyway, the lifestyle mod is unnecessaty. Who cares if the character likes music? Or uses the toilet?
