She has a very pretty face, and seems like a nice girl
But she is/was clearly overweight. 'Fat' is a word that is similar to 'normal' - in that it is somewhat subjective. Personally I think anybody who is medically identified as 'overweight' is at least a little bit fat. So, yes, she is "the fat one"
Being honest with yourselves; who would have really wanted to see a girl bigger than that in a bikini? LOL -

This, in my opinion, highlights a real problem in the UK The "that's not fat that's normal" brigade
I'm sorry to break it to those that defend her, but she is CLINICALLY overweight, and is likely to suffer health problems if she stays that weight for life. Diabetes, heart problems and stroke to name a few of the risks.
Whether it is your opinion she should be considered fat or not doesn't matter, because clearly she is clinically overweight. I am very interested to find out what has skewered your perception of weight? Is it because there are so many overweight people around these days? Probably. Does this mean that those who are a healthy weight should re-calibrate and become fatter?
I would say no. -

I'd say she's a bit more than chubby. To the people calling her obese.

^the left one is obese. What the actual beep, people? Do you have NO idea what obesity is?
Hahaha, I can't believe some people's perception of fat. I've seen girls like Kaley Cuoco being called obese. Honestly, what the hell? -

She is clearly overweight, no question about that. What her BMI is, I can't tell you, but on the picture you've linked, both people look obese. The one on the left to a great extent, the one on the right clearly on her way to serious issues. The torso shows accumulation of far too much excess fat (which people don't biologically need very much of anyway nowadays), which will lead to cardiovascular problems, osteoarthritis, maybe even cancer. You do know that overweight is also known as pre-obese, right? Encouraging plainly unhealthy lifestyles is nothing to be proud of, whether parents do it protecting the feelings of their children or friends between themselves. Weight issues are a legitimate health concern and a pandemic at that.
The Venus of Willendorf is no beauty standard anymore, our life expectancy is a tad higher than 30 and the purpose of women isn't to survive while carrying children through tough winters. We live for more than double that age and our bodies should be treated as such. Lower metabolic rates show higher life expectancy and better health.
I'm not saying the girl is ugly or that overweight people are ugly or anything of the sort. What I'm saying is that, sometimes, truth needs to be faced and acknowledged. Our societies seem to fight that truth by tooth and nail and the only ones who suffer are ourselves. -

I just saw this movie and was so annoyed about the casting of this actress. Yes, compared to her friends she is on the large side, possibly could do with losing a little weight but she isnt fat. I was shocked when she took her clothes off how great she looked. We live in such a sad world.

You're right, it is a sad word. Because of people like you who defend unhealthiness. You either have some kind of fat fetish or are overweight yourself.
How exactly do you determine when somebody is "fat", please tell me? Fat = overweight, it doesn't have to mean morbidly obese -

lol You idiot
Fat to me is round, someone that waddles when they walk. This girl was overweight yes, but she was neither round or wobbled. She had shape and when she took her clothes off had hardly any flab.
I expect you are perfect looking.

@lolstar
"Fat, to me".. Yes, yes indeed. Fat, TO YOU. In other words, you're acknowledging that the word, when used as an adjective, is subjective, and yet are calling me an idiot because I don't (AT ALL) agree with your childish interpretation
'Bulbous' is a more appropriate word for what you are describing. If a person is "overweight", it's because they have excessive body FAT. I think that 'fat' is an appropriate word to describe somebody with exessive fat on their body, and obviously the film makers (and the actress.) agree. I would be oh so stunned if you aren't FAT yourself. Or indeed, bulbous. Nothing wrong with being fat, but there is something wrong with being a fat idiot. You're at least 1 out of 2, for sure -

Yawn If coming on the internet and calling people fat makes you feel better about yourself sweetheart then go right ahead.
I called you an idiot because you told me that I am promoting unhealthy lifestyles. That isnt what I did at all, all I did was point out that she wasnt fat. Because I genuienly dont believe she is! There is a difference between a bit overweight to actually calling someone fat. The fact that you use the word fat so easily, and have pretty much called me fat a few times makes me think you were a playground bully. Not a nice person at all. How sad for you.
I'm not saying that you cant have your opinion about the overweight, but the ugly way in which you keep saying fat, and the fact you were rude to me to begin with purely because I didnt think she was fat, makes you an idiot. Therefore I stand by my accusation. Even more so now.
BTW Making this personal by constantly wondering what my figure is like makes you a bit sad my love, its irrelevant what I look like. I have many opnions about lots of things but that doesnt mean I am in that box.
You seem to feel very strongly about fat people. I'm wondering whether you were once overweight? Or you have to really work hard at keeping your perfect physique?
