I've not seen it yet but it sounds, to me at least, like it's probably a better story for not having specific reasons for the civil war.
More about human interactions and what we do in situations with little pertinent information available at short notice.

they could just make a better story. pay for a better ai script? run it through the new chatgpt version instead of the old version.

I'll have to see it first but there's no reason that good writing can't be bought up.
They don't need to hire writers for the stories, just screen writers to adapt proven successes
