It's utter **** and the trailer is very misleading. After all the talk and hype for this I left the theater feeling like EVERY scene had been edited with major cuts and each scene was incomplete. It's mostly just some reporters sitting around talking about nothing really, with really poor dialogue and very little action or plot, like an Amazon show. There was no real setup for anything happening and it was just predictable story of some young journalist taking over for another one, in this case, a really haggard looking Kirsten Dunst. Out with the old and in with the new, I guess? Weak.
That fat ass Todd from Breaking bad was there, looking older but having slimmed down somewhat since El Camino. The highlight of the movie is Todd getting run over by a car. I guess that's a spoiler, but who cares.
The audience, which was quite small, reacted to nothing that happened other than one really loud gunshot. The music was random and completely out of place. So boring and tedious, I don't know why this was even made.

A brief heads up I saw on another board:
If you were hoping for a movie about the U.S. in civil war today, you will be sadly disappointed. If you thought to yourself, I would really love a movie about combat photographers in a semi-dystopian future with Ron Swanson as president, you will probably enjoy it. Aside from the bait and switch based on all of the previews, it's a well done movie and the last 15 minutes made it all worthwhile. Best to wait for an online provider and a rainy Sunday afternoon than to head out to the theater.

Def bait and switch, the trailer was completely misleading.
Interesting enough, when I saw the first trailer months ago I thought it looked like complete ****. But then the more recent trailer made it look more interesting. Guess they retooled the trailer to trick people. Should have known better.

Probably, but the movie was so bad I didn't even notice as I just kept looking at my phone wishing it would hurry up and end. One of the most disappointing movies I've ever seen.

Can u give the sound department some credit at least? The gun shots sounded ****ing awesome evenb when i was watching a CAM version so in IMAX they must have sounded good? lol
I also noticed how the film made the boogaloo bois seem kinda badass and capable, yet in real life they are a bunch nerdy fat basement dwellers who are simply allowed to buy guns by law lol they aint fighting no ****ing wars, they defo aint taking
legit soldiers hostage and executing them -

Having a loud gunshot every so often to startle the audience awake from this borefest isn't exactly what I would call riveting audio enhancement.

hahahaha i called it. the trailer didnt have any singular guy to follow around. then i saw the UN reporter or whatever. boom i instantly knew this wasnt going to be an action film. it was going to be one of those movies that follows a reporter who cant even walk straight and the entire thing was going to be unsatisfying garbageeeeeeeee.
more following reporter movies that are bad, but try to look interesting in the trailers:

to answer your question: imdb ratings have been gamed for a long time. just like rotten tomato meter crap. its part of marketing now. pay a company with bot accounts $5000 and you get a few 7.7 scores for 3 months. -

Is it just me or did Cailee Spaeny ( cute as **** name lol ) keep switching from average/boring looking to really cute n sexy looking between scenes?
I watched a few spoiler free reviews while waiting for the CAM version to drop online and at least 2 people said that there were 3 scenes in the film that " will stay with them for life " and others have said that the film is brutal as ****….
I saw no scenes that would stay with me for 5 minutes, let alone the rest of my life, did you?
The only scenes i can think of are
The guy getting tire fired in the bath flashback ( was not even gory or shocking )
Todds scene
and possibly the execution scene with the Boogaloo bois??
and none of them were overly brutal or horrific.
and what the FUCK was up with the end? lmao
Koisten Dunks just gets shot and assumingly dies and Jessie does not even give her a second glance and 3 minutes later Nick Offerman gets shot and dies, the end.
WTF happened to Dunks? the main ****ing character lol
