First of all, this is not a "reported film", but mostly fiction,
mixed with half-truths and some accurate details to confuse people
into buying this as 'the truth'.
For example the raid at the end definitely didn't happen like that.
And the probability for Bin Laden to actually be there was much lower
than suggested in this piece of US Army propaganda.
They were simply lucky, that they didn't kill an innocent Pakistani family.
What's really disturbing is, is that the movie presents torture
as a legit tool to get intel.
And that it works, because it's suggested that it was important
    intel they got through torture.
    That it was worth it.
The use of torture is presented as 'scientific' and is never questioned.
The torturers here have a PhD and KNOW what they do, O.K.?
No, sorry, it didn't work and it wasn't important intel, just nonsense they got.
    Many people said that.
This is all disinformation to justify abuses by the US military.
Bigelow is an artist like Leni Riefenstahl, no better.
She believed everything the US government told her and the idiot Mark Boal.
    It's a well-made, real-looking thriller based on lies.
Hitler would have hired Bigelow at once because of the high quality
    of her political propaganda.
She should be ashamed of herself.

What's with the morally disgusting and fascist formatting?

Unless you, yourself, actually work with some human rights organization to abolish these types of atrocities- you know, not just bitching about it online- then shut up! While the torture of other human beings is sickening, I don't claim to know of an alternative, perfect solution, that is both beneficial to our intelligence and respectful and dignified of the enemies rights. Therefore, I don't post diatribes critical of the defenders of MY FREEDOMS.
Was there any U.S. Army presence in this movie? I don't recall any.
WAR is the worst part of mankind. It will always have far-reaching, destructive effects on the world. The most tragic victims will always be innocent lives. But it's part of our reality. And history shows, no matter what Age we live in, or how "advanced" we may think ourselves to be, man will always be at war.
Going hand in hand with war (and tapping into the darkness of man), will be torture. The two are almost synonymous with one another. Like it or not, it's always been used for intel, because it's effective.
The only justification I can give you is that UBL declared war with us, not the other way around.
