I want my scavenger crew to be mainly haggard but skilled veterans. This crew looked fresh out of high school, even the android
They nailed the aesthetics of the colony and the ships. The mining colony was totally believable and the ships were a great throwback to the first two films.
The story is good for the first two thirds but loses it completely in the final third with too many ridiculous elements. The floating acid blood, elevator shaft fight and the human/engineer hybrid broke the immersion for me.
Why is it that the later Alien and Predator films have to **** around with the biology of the aliens? Those creatures are iconic for a reason
5/10

why would I lie? I ****ing hate films that were made before the 90s and I was not a big movie watcher during the era the others came out in. Oh dont get me wrong I know all the words and **** like "
GET AWAY FROM HER YOU BITCH
" and "
HEEEEEEY YOUUUU GUYYYYS
" but that is not because I have seen the films, that is because I have lived on the internet since 2007. -

I think the director was going for a teen/young adult audience, given that his other two movies Don't Breathe and Evil Dead (remake) also have a young cast.

That never makes sense to me. By their logic, only little kids would watch Stand By Me, middle aged men were the only audience for the Sylvester Stallone/Arnold Schwarzenegger action era, and MovieManCin and Miss Margo were the only people who enjoyed Cocoon.

Movies today are, more than ever, made by committee, involving market research and targeting demographics through their casting choices and advertising. Lowest common denominator, completely soulless corporate ****. Especially considering this is a Disney movie
