On the other hand, not everyone thinks that way. Look how long it took them to leave the house, so its not too far-fetched.
    That's true.

It's Matt's alter ego. Seriously, it's just a typo. My eyes are rolling SO hard at you right nowhaha.
ANYHOOto the original posterI'm hoping at some point there is an explanation for why MATT and Shelby ended up on a documentary/reality show to talk about their experience with the ghosts in the first place. I'm assuming the producers found out about their story somehowpolice records? Did Matt and Shelby approach them? Did someone else spill the beans? Hopefully we will find out how it all came to be in the first place. I still wouldn't be surprised to learn that they made the whole thing up to cover up Mason's murder. There might have actually been some kind of history of paranormal activity or legends about the house that they'd heard, and they used those stories to embellish their own story.

I've corrected the typo just now. Must have overlooked the name.
Maybe there will be more details that could turn up about the Millers' connections with ghosts. Was their story all sincere or fabricated? You've raised some good points there.

Don't worry about the typoI do it all the time. 🙂
I have a feeling since what we are going to see from here on out is going to be cobbled together found footage after everyone dies or is killed. I'm hoping they show some conversations or maybe some footage from their "confessionals" that sheds more light on their motives for coming back to the house, or why they decided to make the documentary in the first place.
Sidney seemed to be pretty convinced of Lee's guilt regarding Mason's murder. I've always wondered if maybe she did kill him in the heat of the moment, then Matt and Shelby helped her cover it up by staging what we saw in the reenactment then making up all the rest as a cover up. Maybe it was even a planned murder, and they lured Mason out to the house by pretending the house was haunted and hiding Flora away and making it look like she was kidnapped. I can believe the police didn't catch onfrom the way they were portrayed in the reenactment they seemed pretty clueless for cops. Lee was a former cop, thoughshe may have had ideas on how to cover up evidence.

I like that theory about Lee possibly covering up Masons death. Based on that latest episode where Shelby kills Matt out of fury, that motive could be true.
Or maybe Flora really did ran away and Lee happened to kill Mason during the heat of the moment with his accusations. Then Lee wouldve claimed that the house had her possessed to act so heinously at the time, whether it was actually haunted or not.

CookieNCreams..they couldn't have paid me enough to go back there, especially during the blood moon. That whole scenario has ruined it for me. I might watch it just to see who the lone survivor is, but that would be about it.

That's what people do in horror movies. They do stupid things. They run towards danger. They go back to places they shouldn't.
Do you honestly think real people would have continued to go to Crystal Lake or stayed in the Amityville house?
If movies or shows were like real life, they would either be 2 minutes long or boring as hell.

The might have a good reason to return. Ryan Murphy has spoiled that real Shelby, Matt and Lee are not to be trusted.

We don't know if its actually haunted. It is rumored to be haunted, the same way Lee is rumored to have killed her husband and Matt and Shelby were rumored to have a life-threatening experience.
Like you said, a realistic person who had a horrible experience someplace would never want to return. But, Matt, Shelby and Lee don't seem to be too scared of the idea. Perhaps their experience wasn't exactly what they shared?

The producers did mentioned how they didnt believe the actual house was haunted and were going to come up with scripted stunts to pull off some scares.
The other poster brought up how they all could be hiding something. How they could just fib some story up to get on camera or to cover something else. If theyre in a former case, a reality show would just be another 15-minute of fame for them.
But if the place wasnt really haunted and the stories are all rumored, why was the historian brought in to talk about Mott?
