Theory about the Ghosts

That wasn't the REAL Butcher. That was Agnes portraying her. I'm sure some of the things Matt and Shelby said, as well as the reenactments were embellished somewhat for dramatic purposes. But the fact still remainsthe Butcher and her gang of colonists haven't killed anyone inside of the house that we know of so far. If they could, it would have been much easier for them to just burn the place down or go in and get Matt and Shelby when they showed up with Cricket in tow.

It is an interesting theory sjzaz! I am beep that you have the time to think of this theory, and, post it.
Where do you think Priscella is now?
Why do you think that The Witch was such a frightened mess when confronted by Shelby?
What was happening between Matt and The Witch when Shelby sees them in the basement? Is Matt in the process of sacrificing himself to The Witch (allowing The Witch to kill him as shown in the reenactment between Tomastine and The Witch)?
Why do you think that The Witch abandoned Matt so easily? There has to be a reason, correct? Shelby says the first time that she saw Matt with The Witch Matt was in a trance.
Do you think that Matt was never in a trance - he was always fully conscious when with The Witch, and, was with The Witch constantly? Lee says that Matt believes Mott prefers the tunnel - it is a subtle way of illustrating that Matt's familiarity with Mott goes beyond a one time tunnel escape.
Matt says that The Millers marriage was over when they moved into that property. Do you think Matt confined himself to the basemet with The Witch the entire time that they lived there? Matt leaves the basement when he hears Shelby say that The Butchef has Flora. Matt leaves the basement and The Witch to save Flora?
Matt says he has not felt human for 2 years and returned for The Witch. Why did Matt wait? Did Matt stay away from the property trying to avoid The Witch? Can The Witch only come out if there are people on the property that can be sacrificed?
Is The Witch only able to interact / have intimate relations during The Blood Moon?
Aren't there more than one Blood Moons per year - with some falling in months such as April?
What Blood Moon does The Witch use as a druid descendant - it comes from her druid religious practices.
sjzaz, Thank you again for posting such a phenomenal post! It is very intriguing! Apologies for the number of questions. Your insight and enthusiasm for this season makes your thoughts very interesting. Thank you for answering / replying to any of the above questions that you are able to. I know your replies will be brilliant.

All I can tell you is that I think we haven't heard the last of the witch. I don't think it's a coincidence how Ryan Murphy said in an interview that the witch was the original first Supreme. He has also said he wants to revisit Coven in a future season. I think somehow he is using this season to bridge the gap between the original season of Coven and the future season.
As far as the interactions between the witch and Matt. I don't think Matt and Shelby told the truth in their interviews with Sidney on MRN. I think they either lied about that part of the story, or they left out significant details. I have a theory that Priscilla had been a witch and possibly the next Supreme, and that's why she was killed. If that bears out to be true, maybe there's something about Shelbyperhaps she is also a witch, but she doesn't even know it? Maybe Shelby was destined to be the future supreme or perhaps a future offspring of Shelby and Matt's, and the witch is trying to weaken her by stealing her mate? I think there is a reason that hasn't been revealed yet for why Matt was attracted to the witch and visa versa. Maybe now that's she's killed Matt and thinks she's going to die soon, Shelby will confess to someone, maybe Dominic, about what REALLY happened between herself, Matt, and the witch.
I will have to do some research into Druid practices and witchcraft. I am definitely no expert in either of those fields! I'm sure there probably is some kind of connection with the Blood Moon. I was thinking maybe it has something to do with fertility, and that's why the witch was attempting to have sex with Matt (or maybe she was trying to prevent him from having sex with Shelby, who knows?)
I'm not sure if Matt was really in a trance or not. He claimed to have been the first time around, so he was portrayed that way in the reenactments. He certainly seemed to be this time around as wellmaybe the witch was able to put some kind of spell on him. Maybe he only thinks he's in love with her, and what he actually feels is some sort of compulsion placed on him by the witch. I couldn't really tell if the witch was frightened away by Shelby or not. She really didn't speakall I heard from her was some sort of unintelligible hissing noises. It's quite possible that the only thing the witch really wanted was to prevent Shelby and Matt from getting back together, and she fled because she sensed she had accomplished that by getting Matt to tell Shelby he was in love with her. I'm not sure anyone was expecting Shelby to become unhinged and bludgeon Matt to death like that! Not even the witch!
I don't think we've seen the last of Priscilla's ghost. I think if she was indeed a witch, who was killed by the Butcher at the wood witch's orders, we very well may see her return to exact some kind of revenge on the witch. She didn't really seem like much of a malevolent ghost based on Matt and Shelby's story. Flora came to no harm while she was with Priscilla. Priscilla also seemed to have been trying to warn Flora about what was going to happenbut the adults didn't take Flora seriously and leave before it was too late, so Priscilla kidnapped her to keep her safe. When Elias took Matt and Shelby to the woods to show them where he thought Priscilla might be, it looked like Priscilla and the other ghostsnot the Butcher and the colonists ghosts, were playing some kind of game with Floralike Blind Man's Bluff or something. They didn't look as if they were trying to harm her or scare her.
There is still A LOT of unanswered questions as far as I'm concernedand only three episodes left to answer them all! I'm looking forward to finding out if any of my theories were even close. -

WinkerAugusta, Quick question, how many times are you going to type "Tomastine" before you realise that it is actually Tomasin? I have been reading different posts across the forum and every time I see it, a little part of me dies haha.
This Coven doesn't need a new Supreme. It needs a new rug. - Fiona Goode, Witch Bitch Supreme! -

That was actually only a reenactment that we saw. The information about Edward Mott came from that historian that Sidney interviewed. I have a feeling Matt and Shelby were not too forthcoming with the information they gave about Edward Mott, so that's why Sidney went to an outside source for info to flesh out the "character". There were probably urban legends floating around, and enough historical info about him to piece together a "story line" for MRN.
I think we saw last night that the real ghost of Edward Mott wasn't exactly like the ghost that Rory portrayed in MRN.
