just saw the trailer on UHM, and no, the trailer looks nothing like piranha 3d. however the movie poster as well as the plot of "underwater earthquake unleashes prehistoric beast" is so piranha 3d! they can't touch it. haha. still be watching cause it looks so bad that it will be extremely entertaininghowever i wish it could have been a little more original

The idea of sand sharks is probably also ripping off the sand shark creature in the family flick MAGIC ISLAND (1995).

If it's anything like "Piranha 3D", they can at least salvage it with excessive nudity and female hotness galore. One can only hope.
EDIT: Oh dear. I just saw it (downloaded it uh telepathically). It actually attempts to be a comedy, for the most part, and fails spectacularly. It's got about a tenth of the budget "Piranha 3D" had, and makes the latter look like "Ben Hur" by comparison. And no, not even a smidgen of boobage to amend the suckularity. There are a few slightly hot female cast members, but they all remain inexplicably and tragically clothed throughout. -

Piranha 3D? You have seen the Jaws poster haven't you? Both are a rip off of that.
And I don't think Piranha 3D first came up with a underwater earthquake either.
You never know when you might need to kill someone.
