Los Angeles, Nineties, Blacks vs Hispanics. This movie reminded me of the game, only we didn't see a corrupt cop in it I think.

Also, it's not set in the nineties, but around the same year it was released. And it's not blacks vs. hispanics, it's cops vs. everyone.

I honestly thought of GTA as well when I saw the first scene with the self-camera shot of them driving through town.
