Terrible movie to watch if you are 27-30 years old

And that is exactly where I fall so I did not enjoy this movie. I guess since I'm close-ish in age to both of them it was just so frustrating. There really is no reason why they shouldn't have been together in my mind (but maybe in 6 years when I'm 35 I'll feel different who knows).

I felt the same until the end
Zibby was 19 but she wasn't living like a 19 year old. She wanted to grow up so fast and in many ways, unknowingly used Jesse to do so. The Twilight book was a clear indication for Jesse, that she was a 19 year old girl who was trying to be way more mature than she was around Jesse.
That's why he couldn't be with her, they had great chemistry yes, but Zibby needed to figure out who she was first of all. -

If that was his reason, then she's right He IS a snob.
It's one thing not to want to be with someone because you don't get along, or have nothing in common but I know 35 year olds who have read Twilight. What kind of books you like doesn't have much to do with how mature you are; it's how you act. The idea that if you like frothy books then you have no defined sense of self is absolute baloney.
