I was never a big fan of either show. But, yeah, they're good shows, no denying that.

I like McHale's Navy more than Gomer Pyle. I barely watched Gomer Pyle USMC but I liked Gomer on the Andy Griffith Show.
Yeah, Hogan's Heroes is good too. I like it more than McHale's Navy and Gomer Pyle USMC.
Some trivia: Ilsa She Wolf of the SS , one of my favorite exploitation films from the '70s, was filmed on the set of Hogan's Heroes. The film takes place at a concentration camp and stars luscious Dyanne Thorne as the titular character. Thorne's character was loosely based on the real life Nazi warden Ilsa Koch. According to IMDb:
Filmed on the set of Hogan's Heroes (1965). The series had already been cancelled, and, on learning that the movie had the camp being burned down at the end, the set was given over to save the cost of demolition.

yes! yes! i'm so happy you are a fan of isla she wolf of the s.s. one of the best films ever made. a film so raw, so extreme so jarring and disturbing.
tarantino apparently is such a huge fan he is contemplating remaking it.
isn't it one of the most disturbing, controversial, extreme, edgy, gritty, harrowing, boundaring breaking, realistically violent, grueling, taboo breaking films you've ever watched? and is it one of the hardest films you've ever gotten through bc it is so intense and disturbing that you have ever watched?
i heard it is a very loud movie as far as the sounds of sexual pleasure from isla.
i've read about the legendary greatness of this film online for 15 years now. its a film that i can't believe actually exists, bc it is so taboo. i mean how more controversial can you get when you make a completely balls all out, extreme movie about hitler's germany done '70s explotiation style except make it even more extreme and edgy with a lot of sex and nudity and torture and whipping?
the only more controversial kind of movie is nunsploitation which is a by product film subgenre mixing nuns and religion with sex and nudity, so it's sexploitation and nuns.
these subgenres, nunsploitation and exploitation films joe bob briggs, famous b movie reviewer knows all about.
i still can't believe they actually made a film about one of the most taboo subjects in the history of the world, hitler's germany during wwII and made a freaking daring done in a exploitation style movie that is comical in it's absurdly style of storytelling and lurid details. so almost making fun of hitler's germany during wwII.
well that is the best way to condemn and punish hitler, to degrade him like mel brooks did in the producers; "spring time for hitler song," and the way he made fun of him with his portrayal of hitler. he said about hitler the best way to acknowledge hitler is to defame him, ridicule him.
dude you dont even know how hot dyanne thorne is in this film. ****ing a. one of the hottest characters and one of the hottest women in the history of film.
she always reminded me of sybil danning bc their faces look so much alike, their eyes are so similar looking and they both have blond hair and they both have this very icy, specific, very particular European girl look to their faces and eyes. also they both had this confidence and tough girl, rigid authoritarian presences. also they were both tall girls.
i loved dyanne thorne in a little known sexpliotation comedy fantasy fairy tale movie called pinnochio from 1974. i find it interesting how they casted 2 girls from this movie in isla she wolf of the s.s. dyanne thorne and ushi digard.
i loved so much and appreciated so much how tarantino put in his grindhouse movie fake trailer parody to isla she wolf of the s.s. sybil danning as ilsa. i loved and appreciated this so much bc i always thought they were similar actresses bc of how they looked and acted and bc they both had the same strong willed personalities and confidence in '70s exploitation movies.
i loved that nod, tribute to this film from tarnatino and loved the nod, tribute to dyanne thorne and sybil danning. it's like tarantino did this for me bc he knew that i put these 2 actresses together.
but i'm sad that tarnatino didn't cast dyanne thorne in this fake movie trailer that would have been better.
i think it's pretty safe to say that isla she wolf of the s.s. could not under any circumstances be made today bc it is too controversial of a subject. back in the '70s filmmakers were actually(i saw this sarcastically bc they should always have 100% creative freedom) allowed to let their freak flag fly and make the most controversial movies in exploitation films. it is the best time, decade for movies bc of this complete freedom.
you've talked about this before you said the '60s and '70s are the best decades for horror movies bc of the classic films in these decades.
finally horror movie directors didnt have to get approved by the strict movie ratings boards for horror movies in the '60 and '70s which they had to in the '50 and before. they had a lot more new found freedom with what they could show, the content and stories they could tell in the '60s and '70s which were completely new to them.

I don't know about "taboo breaking" but the first time I watched Ilsa She Wolf of the SS, I thought that it was somewhat disturbing esp. the castration part. It's also campy and over the top, so it's hard to take it too seriously (reminds me of Cannibal Ferox in that respect). The sequel Ilsa Harem Keeper of the Oil Sheiks is fun too but not nearly as gross or graphic as Ilsa She Wolf of the SS. I recommend both Ilsa films for the trashy delights that they are. There's a couple of other Ilsa films that I haven't seen yet: Ilsa the Tigress of Siberia and Ilsa the Wicked Warden. All of them star Dyanne Thorne.

i read that jesus franco directed isla the wicked warden so that film has to be a great film.
are you a big franco fan? i heard that every film he has directed has an epic scene that is great.
you said the first isla film is one of your favorite exploitation films is it really that well made? how many stars would you give it from 2-5?

D'Amato! Simply because I love Anthropophagus (1980) aka The Grim Reaper, it's one of my favorite Italian horror films. I also like Beyond The Darkness (1979), one of the most twisted and perverse films ever made. I've never seen any of his porn films though.
Absurd (1981) is pretty good too…it's a sequel of sorts to Anthropophagus.

ever watched the last horor film, murder set pieces, or angst from 1983?
i thought blood feast from lewis is a good movie. 2000 maniacs is a horrible movie though.

Seen The Last Horror Film, it was pretty good. Joe Spinell is entertaining as always. Don't think I've seen Murder Set Pieces or Angst.

I like them both. 2000 Maniacs is my favorite HGL film! How can you not enjoy that film? It's hilarious! I like how they turned out to be ghosts in the end, great twist! Connie Mason was a hottie and the brunette Confederate chick was pretty nice too. "The South's Gonna Rise Again!!" Love that song, too.
the town that dread sundown ever watch this film? if so did you think its good or great?
Yes, I've seen it. It's a good film. Charles B. Pierce, the director, also made The Legend of Boggy Creek (1972), the absolute greatest Bigfoot horror film ever made. It's based on alleged sightings that took place in the little town of Fouke, Arkansas. Pierce used locals from the town (real hillbilly types) as extras. The film has a raw, authentic feel and thankfully not much of the creature is shown (making it more mysterious and chilling). Definitely a film to watch with all the lights turned out! The Town That Dreaded Sundown is likewise based on a true story.

ever watched the last horor film, murder set pieces, or angst from 1983?
Seen The Last Horror Film, it was pretty good. Joe Spinell is entertaining as always. Don't think I've seen Murder Set Pieces or Angst.
i thought blood feast from lewis is a good movie. 2000 maniacs is a horrible movie though.
do you think these are good or great?
The Town That Dreaded Sundown is likewise based on a true story.

oh sorry didn't mean film i meant the last horror movie from 2003 a psuedo documentary henry: protrait of a serial killer lets follow a serial killer surreal horror movie.
how can i not enjoy that film bc it horribly made. i can see how you'd like it though considering 2000 maniacs is kind of like pink flamingoes in its rebel, do it yourself f you to authority, even rockabilly '50s throwback style film, guerrila style filmmaking, almost documentary style film.
it also is like texas chainsaw massacre with it's style which also makes sense that you like it bc you love tcm. as afr as it doc and gritty feel.
i hated it bc there was no real plot and i didn't like 1 character in fact i hated all the characters they were so hateable and despicable, irredeemable with what they did to all those people. also i found it to be a boring movie which is the biggest sin a movie can commit.
ok you have to watch maniac(1980) it is so epically great, it is a masterpiece. its one of the rare films that even with its huge classic reputation it still lives up to all of its classic film reputation.
joe spinell is so great in it. i cant imagine any other actor in history being as great as he is
it also is extremely disturbing and very graphic and unnerving and gruesome oh and very misogynistic. if yiou ever ownder why '80s slasher films have their bad reputation of being women hating this mvvoie is the best example of why.
that song they kept repeating in 2000 maniacs is so annoying so grating.
i was amazed by how beautiful mary anne herself dawn wells still was in 1976 in the film the town that dreaded sundown. i mean at this point she must have been 35 or older.
i have to think that the people who made friday the 13th part 2 took maybe borrowed the killer in the town that dreaded sundown's pillow case on his head look for their film.
dont you think they took this from this film?
so do you love blood feast? i thought it was very well made. and that it has a great style that is unique.

True, but there was a reason they did those things to those people. During the Civil War, they (the townsfolk) were massacred by Union troops. Hence, any Yankees that wandered into their town were going to be murdered as revenge. I think the film had an interesting plot.

I've seen it. Yes, it's a good, gritty horror film. Spinell was perfect for that role.
I haven't seen the remake but it's hard to imagine little Elijah Wood playing Spinell's role.

It reminded me a bit of Fulci's The New York Ripper, a film that was also accused of being misogynistic. Fulci himself was accused of hating women and supposedly treated his actresses like **** - lovely Zora Kerova being the exception, he seemed to like and respect her.

watch it you can watch it on here for free.
it has a weird original feel and look and persepctive. its in the perspective of found footage except in real time.
so he's talking to the camera as he discusses to the cameraman who never talks or shows himself why he kills people, the methods and gets into the philopsophical psychology behind why he kills people. he even ratinalizes killing people in a way where you question if kiling people is even wrong existentially.
its very surreal and the experience watching it is unsettling, and off kilter.
there's a final line that he speaks to you as he looks into the camera staring at it which is haunting and very meta and very distubing bc it gets over to you, in a way that movies seldom ever do as far as affecting you and crossing over to you in the real world in your life.
when a character looks directly at the camera he is looking at you bc you are watching the movie which was recorded on the camera.
so big full recommendation to you for the last horror movie.
so have you ever watched henry: portrait of a serial killer? it was filmed in 1986 but not released until 1990. originally, when it came out it was rated NC-17.
i heard that this is a very intense film with violence that is raw, nihilistic, and realistic. like you are watching real serial killers in a documentary.
well keep in mind the remake of maniac with elijah wood is done in a point of view camera style, angle in every but one shot, just a short glancing in the mirror shot of wood. so you almost never see his face, you just see all his murders shown from his perspective, so the women as they get killed.
which makes for a very unique and intriguing experience. it makes a good companion film to the original. and its the highest quality film. a lot more artistic than the original.
                                  so please watch it ok?
now i love that you mentioned this about the misfits bc my friend whom you've always reminded me of loved the misfits and told me once that they made songs about horror films.
i love and appreciate fulci for this hatred and misogyny towards women. i feel the same way about them bc like i told you they've always never respected or liked me never given me a chance for a relationship so iv'e always held a fierce distrust, animosity, and hatred towards them and have had distance between me and them.
why should i respect or care for them after all they've done to me and shown themselves to consistently be to me? losing hope for a relationship with one in the process of trying to get a girlfriend all these years. cant even just like a girl customer at my work that is atractive bc of this bc right after we have a friendly talk i think shes a bad person who will never give me a chance for a relationship.
i love watching girls get terroirzed in horror movies its payback
