Superb series, I am really enjoying it (Well, perhaps not the wait between series) I just thought they could have had a more enigmatic ending or a bit of a stronger finish.
The whole thing felt like filler (Although I did enjoy the War of the Worlds type opening).

Agreed. Still, when you look around, even with its somewhat lacklustre s02 finish, it's still quality. I just watched another series that COULD have been something but just imposed into nothing, basically. Frustrating. But still better that series that gear up, then get unceremoniously cancelled. That really pisses me off.

I doubt there's any cancellation in sight for AG at the moment, it was a glorious season, it just could have kept from of the penultimate episode for the final and played out those two episodes a little slower and with more detail.
Absolutely loved it though! I mean it's clear thatβ¦(Potential spoiler territory)
Laura will take two drops of her blood and bring Sweeney back to life, Thor didn't commit suicide and that Wednesday is Shadow's father
β¦but beyond that there's plenty of room for movement which isn't expected.

Their writing is artistic and so creative. It's fun and unlike anything else out there.
There's the Discworld Series which is fun, silly, has dry humour (very British, so it's not slapstick or silly).
I'd highly encourage you to read the book
Good Omens
(I've watched it on Prime TV, and while it's OK, they did change a great deal, so I'd suggest you read the book first). You don't have to read the Discworld series in order, so I'd suggest
Wyrd Sisters
, Hogfather,
Mort
, Golem,
The Colour of Magic
,
Witches Abroad,
Lords and Ladies, Reaper Manβ¦. There are so many good ones. They're small paperbacks that are quick reads.
American Gods is a bit more to chew, and what's interesting about it is that it actually makes a LOT of sense. It's well-explained and it's logical.
Check out the author Piers Anthony,
On a Pale Horse,
Total Recall, Wielding a Red Sword,
With a Tangled Skein
(I've bolded my favourite books).
