    The Real Soldier Boy — 2 years ago(January 27, 2024 12:36 AM)

I made about 3 wasted attempts to watch the kitchen last weekend and it didn't grab me.
Tried Masters of the Air tonight: also not grabbing me.
I did plow through back to life this weekend, which was horrendously charming.

Haven't heard of Back to Life. But I could do with some charming tv. The Kitchen I'll give a try on Sunday afternoon.

Daisy Haggard Is always great as is Adeel Akhtar who is just in everything these days and has acting come out of his ballsack.
Back to Life has been cancelled and this is her new show, which I've seen described as Daisy Haggard meets the Coens and Tarantino. Sounds..intriguing.
Oh and watching it it's got Johnson and Baptiste. lol cool

He is in everything these days. He reminds me of Romesh Ranganathan.

              He's an incredibly good actor.
I'm deliberately looking out for things he in. There's something just really sad and real about him.

I agree. I recently watched him in something that wasn't great bur he was good. He always is.

The fight between the two brothers and Mad Dog was absolutely spectacular. Mad Dog was a total beast who just loved beating the **** out of people.
You've seen Guy Standeven in something because the man was in everything.

I know. This kind of thing is addictive, for me anyway. 😅

I also loved the meth lab fight sequence, especially the older guy cop who wasn't much of a fighter, so he was forced to compensate for his lackluster asskicking skills by improvising with **** like filing cabinets to push onto the bad guys.
