Jacka I understand where you're coming from but not every American action movie is bad. On occasion a good one comes out. Half of the time they are independent films but whatever.

Yeah, I like the atmosphere and the premise of the movie, but like you I was bored by the non-stop action. I was reminded of Mr. & Mrs. Smith, I guess acne covered teenagers are impressed by non-stop fighting, but as you mature there is a critical mass regarding the amount of shooting and superhuman fight scenes you can stand. Took me two days to finish the movie because I kept having to pause it and do other stuff I'd get so bored.
Don't get me wrong, I thought it was a good movie with great fight choreography and fun violence, I just prefer a more lazy pace. I wish the movie would have indulged in its own atmosphere more rather than rushing ever onward to the next fight set piece.

first 15 minutes or so was pretty good. But when martial arts started. oh my. I was facepalming till the end. And this bad guy mad dog was laughable. 5/10.
