The husband seemed nice, like he truly bonded with Katrina, but the wife is useless, the little boy too young to know better
but guys, that older boy? Tell me I'm not the only one expecting to hear about him on the news in a few years? Emotionless voice, dead eyes. He was kinda scary.

He have alot of signs that can be a warning sign, yes detached very, no feelings and yes he aint stupid..

Actually, I didn't read him as a sociopath at all. He has emotions, clearly, he just doesn't express them in a normal way. His journal entry about Katrina was insightful and showed a lot more empathy than he seems to be able to express in interpersonal contact. I'm pretty sure he's got Asperger's, which is an autism-spectrum disorder.
