Pump was Given Away After All!

Ya that episode made Jackson and his show look really bad. They should not have aired it. Jackson made her repeat twice that Pump was here to stay, while she had planned all along to toss it the second she got her check.
I'm a bit disappointed in Jackson. For Pump this is not 'all in the past', this is now Pump's present and future. -

Thank you for this update MissGoldHeart. I had a feeling that miserable witch would give Pump away in the end. I cried watching that episode. Pump was such a sweet and loving cat. All he wanted was to be close to people.
I too need to calm down and watch my language here. All I can say is that I loathe that woman, and as for Lucas, I hope he lives a long and miserable life with that evil B-tch! She clearly has no heart.
I hope Pump is happy in his new home and lives for years to come.
We love you, sweet boy! -

I just watched this episode over the weekend, and I came here hoping for some discussion on this woman. I did not like her from the start, middle, and even at the finish when she CLAIMED (lied) that she was not giving Pump away. That woman had no sense of basic compassion; there are some times in life where it isn't all about what YOU want. How hard would it have been, seriously, to keep that generally pleasant old cat around for its final days? I sat there watching thinking "how does this man truly love a woman like this?" I'm not saying you have to turn your life upside down for a cat, but honestly, there were little-to-no issues, truly, with Pump, that I could see. It was clear Jackson was perplexed as well. (Honestly, regarding the silks, she was darned lucky Pump wasn't CLAWING the silks. All he did was walk under them to feel them, and curl up next to a silk pillow. I grew up around amazing, wonderful cats and my mom currently has a rambunctious adolescent male, and they ALL clawed at fabric. This woman was blind to how GOOD she had it!)
Poor Pump; I really hope he did handle the move okay.
And as for her so-called "business," what a crock. I'd never trust someone like her as a vessel of "positive energy." Her own aura was far too dark! -

WOW! I didn't see this particular episode but I hate this woman already! She gave away a 23 year old cat? Did her boyfriend have this cat from the time it was a kitten?

I'd read the posts on this board first, and couldn't make it through half of Pump's segment. Seeing that sweet cat on this witch's lap, and then enjoying her stupid "healing," I seriously wanted to cry, knowing that she was going to re-home him, knowing full well that it could kill him.
The woman is a shrew.

Basically this woman's oh-so-mature resentment of an innocent, sweet cat was a bad case of projection; she repeated numerous times in a bitter tone of voice that the cat had originally been her boyfriend's ex-girlfriend's, both of them predating her being in his life. For whatever reason, when the guy broke up with his first girlfriend, he ended up with her 12-year-old cat. So Pump was the cat that he brought into his relationship with Candice.
Since I wrote my first post, I learned more about this infuriating situation. Candice always intended to get rid of Pump, even before the episode was filmed. She agreed to the show for the fee they paid to her and for free advertising for her business. The outpouring of negativity she received when this came to light caused her to issue an apology to Jackson and an offer to return the fee to Jackson for him to donate to any cat charity of his choice. She also apologized for having stated "I am keeping Pump" twice on the air, knowing, as she admitted, that it wasn't the truth.
There was also some question of exactly who ended up with Pump. One account has him with her mother, the other account with the guy's mother.
Apparently most of this played out on Facebook; she had to delete her company's Facebook page and supposedly her business got trolled pretty bad on Yelp (all bad comments have since been deleted.) I saw most of these posts as copy-and-pastes on other discussion boards that took place around the time the episode originally aired. Although I'm sure this second round of airing has helped remind people exactly who they are dealing with in this woman.
Oh, and there as also another cat, a 12-year-old of his, they got rid of at the same time who for some reason was never mentioned in the episode, and a dog (I'm unclear if they still have the dog.)
EDITED TO ADD: I just saw in the thread simply title "Pump" that a lot of the same information I just explained about the truth of the situation was also discussed right here in that thread. My apologies; I didn't notice that thread before. I am acknowledging that I am not the first one mentioning it here and I am not trying to replicate the same information over and over! -

I found this out on Jackson's Facebook page as well, about a week after I had seen the episode. That particular episode unnerved me in a way no other episode of the show has; I even cried. The absolute worst to me was when she threw the book at the door and screamed at Pump. The woman is obviously off-balance and it probably is a good thing Pump went to live with Lucas' motherthere is no doubt in my mind that Candace would have eventually come unhinged enough over the cat to hurt him or even kill him. What a four-letter word. Also I think both Candace and Lucas used Jackson and that Jackson either wasn't in on the scam at all or at the very least decided to go ahead and try to help and maybe reverse the decision to rehome Pump.

I hate that she gave the cat away, I just seen that episode again on saturday for like the second or third time, Candice is such a beautiful woman on the outside, but not so much on the inside, I didn't know that people are paid to be on this show, it's usually the other way around.

If anyone should've been re-homed it was Candice. She exploited a sweet, gentle, loving cat for exposure and money. I hope many of her clients have left her as a result of seeing her callousness towards Pump.
Sucks to be that guy. If I were him I would've dumped her ass. Unfortunately they have a kid. -

Pump is actually safer being out of a toxic home like that.
I'm actually glad he's away from that crazy woman because now he's in a more stable environment.
It's actually better for him to have a caring owner and a good home.
If I lived with Candice, I'd want out too.
So Pump got lucky because he doesn't have to live with that piece of crap anymore.
He gets to live a better life without having books thrown at him or being yelled at. -

Of course I'm happy if Pump is in a better home. But seriouslyCandice was the one that needed to be "re-homed." What kind of evil, psychotic *itch holds so much hatred towards a SWEET and LOVING 23 year old cat?

Everyone should be so lucky as to have a sweet old lap cat around their house! And that healing stuff is a load of cr*p. Ugh. I feel so sorry for her child. My friend has a mom just like her and she has so many issues due to her craziness.
But you've got to love the power of the internet to publicly shame her, ruin her business and force her to give the money back. -

I just watched this episode for the first time today. I did not like Candice one bit. She seemed very resentful and like a b****. I couldn't figure out why Lucas with her. He must be p-whipped IMO.
And her "business"? Total crock. What BS.
