Long story short, we have combined 3 households into one, for financial reasons. Which meant putting 6 cats in a house all together. Yes I said 6. All are fixed with the exception of one, the old lady. She was a rescue and older when my Mom found her on the streets. Super friendly, but traumatized. The vet said to fix her it would cost alot of money, and with her age well, it might not go well.
I said long story short.. anyway, we are having issues, surprising right?
My brothers cat, whom we call Psyco, HATES all other cats, except the youngest, she loves kittens. She tries to murder the others when she gets a chance. It has been 6 months, and it has gotten better. Just last night she slept with me and my cat, and there were no incidents. When we first moved in I got caught in the middle of a cat fight while sleeping. My thigh got the scratched up. Another time she jumped on my bed while another cat was with me, and I had to surround the poor creature with my body and a blanket, and use my arms to fend her off. She came back again and again, trying to get at her. Like I said she is better, and for the most part they get along. The others come out, they are allowed by her to use the litter boxes.
But it seems since the battles ceased, another issue has developed. Someone/a few have decided to start peeing and pooping in my brothers bed & my nephews bed. With 6 cats its hard to know who, but we are sure of one, but expect at least another.
I believe it is Psyco and the youngest. but it could be someone else. I think Psyco is being jealous & territorial. But does anyone have any advice? Or maybe a specific episode that would help? Or another site for this kind of thing How do we get them to stop? I clean the boxes daily. I thought this might be the perfect spot to find help. I don't know where else to get advice. The vet is expensive, so unless there are no other options, I want that to be the last resort. My brother and his wie are about to lose it.
