Just finished watching it, and after being stunned for most of the film (in a good way), the last ten minutes blew my mind.
This isn't a straight-up horror movie IMHO, so don't expect a gore fest if you haven't seen it. It's very creepy and unsettling. -

Actually that is not true. There was no knowledge of her being underage when she started out in her other business. That bombshell wasn't revealed until 1987. Believe me when I tell you - Everyone was a fan of Traci back then (mid 80s)and everyone assumed she was an adult. No one knew she was underage. SO, technically, we weren't pedophiles, we were just fooled like everyone else.

Hey fluffchop - looks like you are on my side with this. Pharrington cant seem to put a coherent sentence together. I maintain what I originally said - it was impossible in the mid 80s when Traci Lords was doing porno to know she was underage. How can you be a pedophile when you have no knowledge she was underage??? Lords was the #1 pornstar of that time so i guess (according to Pharringtons logic) - there were a helluva lot of pedophiles walking around at that time.

Actually it's called ephebophile. And in most cultures and during most of our evolution it was perfectly natural and normal to be attracted to girls 15-19. The reason we judge it as wrong today is because of the power difference (economic power, psychological experience etc) between young women and older men.

I agree completely, this is an original film, not really horror and not really a suspense film but an amalgam of both and yet so much more. Great cast and great director. I was thinking about this film days after I had seen it. The ending was shocking, I expected something bad but nothing like that and yet, when you watch this film again, all the signs were there, brilliant. Tracy Lords was excellent in this film.
