Will she go to jail?

I think its mental asylum. I think the mom will proabably blame herself for a lot of it cause the girl said she needed a proper psychiatrist and she knows she struggled to love her. On that point i dont think the mother hated her but it would be difficult to love your child who is pretty hard going like Pauline was.

Some sort of mental lockup to start for sure, but once she is placed under observation and actually sees people trained in diagnosing people with her disorder (whatever it is) she will receive treatment and the appropriate drug regime. At some point, she could be 'cured' and released.
For instance, you may have heard about the fellow who decapitated a fellow passenger on a Greyhound bus some years ago? He received treatment for his mental problems and is now getting day passes.

"On May 30, 2011, the CBC reported that Vince Li is responding well to his psychiatric treatment and that his doctor has recommended that he will receive more freedoms, phased in over several months. On May 17, 2012, the National Post reported that Vince Li has been granted temporary passes that will allow him out of the Selkirk Mental Health Centre for visits to the town of Selkirk, supervised by a nurse and peace officer." -

Jail, then a mental hospital. She doesn't understand the difference between fantasy and reality and is a mortal danger to those around her as a result.
I don't see mom hiding the bodies. It would be a complete turnaround for her to hide the murder of her favorite daughter to save the (murdering) one she wanted nothing to do with in the first place.

Yeah, I never saw anything even remotely in the Mother's character that she'd cover up a crime of this magnitude.
The horrific scream at the end (Wow, what a performance by Traci Lords) was not an indication she'd lost her mind. Everything else maybe, but she was not suddenly criminally insane like her daughter. -

I thought she was eventually found crimally insane and unfit to stand trial. Although, I do believe it was the parents' fault that she ended up the way she did. Perhaps if her mom encouraged her to persue medicine and stopped being a btch to her throughout the movie, she wouldn't have ended up the way she did. It was also the father's fault, because he never spoke up for himself or the kids at all throughout the movie. In addition, if the mom had her seeing a proper therepist instead of that priest (played by an all around awesome John Waters), she could've learned how to control her fantasy/reality episodes. If the students (especially that nasty girl across the street) didn't treat her like total garbage. I guess my point is that she was the victim of unfair ccircumstances and that lead to her snapping eventually, leading to the devastating, yet darkly comical, finale.

Pauline will be treated at a mental hospital. but the mom and dad helped make her into a psycho by not listening. Pauline even said she needed a real siciatrist

I'm fairly sure the mother WILL call the police - Grace was her beloved daughter, and she says several times that she has trouble loving Pauline. Regardless of her emotions (now only having one daughter, knowing that she could have stopped all this if she had tried to help Pauline when Pauline was all but begging for help), her mother is never shown as the type who would cover it up or make excuses for Pauline to get her out of trouble.
At first, I got the impression that the mother might kill Pauline and I was slightly disappointed that didn't happen, to show the extreme preference the mother has for Grace.
In any case, Pauline will not go to jail. She will likely be locked in a mental institution because she is very clearly disturbed. -

I think Pauline would go to a mental institution instead; she clearly wasn't stable at all

There are several mental hospitals as well as prisons that have special areas for mentally ill prisoners. There are not enough treatment programs and help for the mentally ill until it is too late, and then it is substandard.
The problem we have in this country is that people are not receiving the mental health treatment they need before they do horrible things.
