Oh, lighten up, geesh. If one were to take this flick at face value, it would be a really badly-acted, poorly-written forgettable embarrassment. I want to believe the film makers were NOT serious, making it a black comedy and not a gratuitous piece of schlock.

I didn't see it so much as "horror" but I didn't see it as "black comedy" either. I suppose the gore warranted listing it as "horror" but if you removed those scenes it would simply be a drama imo. I really didn't see enough humor in it to call it a "black comedy". Fargo was "black comedy". Very Bad Things was "black comedy. This one, Excision, I really don't think so. It was just too, too tragic. If the director/writer deems it "black comedy" then I stand corrected but then that makes him a sick fv
