And to the actress- she made mouth movements (presumably a tic she developed after contracting herpes at a young age) and elongated her face to really sell the "ugliness".
Even so, I was unconvinced of her unattractiveness for much of the movie.

Actually to be honest her character was rather hot. Just had a few flaws here and there but still real fvckable plus AnnaLynne looks pretty good as a brunette too.
