Google took me there.

My friend raved about it to me. It sounded good, but when he told me about Hood ripping the cagefighter's hand apart I decided it was a must see!
Probably one of my favorite TV series ever.
I usually get fed up with series after a little while. Not with Banshee.

I came across it by mistake. I was still reeling from the show Spartacus ending. One night I happened to be flipping through channels and noticed the first episode of Banshee had just aireddecided to watch the replay and stuck with it ever since, although I have to say the ridiculous opening scene in downtown Manhattan almost blew it for me.

I spend some amount of time in a cabin high in the mountains during the winter - it has the luxury of solar and generator electricity, so I have a bluray player there. Last fall I picked up season 2 of Strike Back to watch in the evenings, and when I opened it one night I found a thin envelope inside with the pilot episode of Banshee.
Chucked a couple of logs on the fire and started a new series -

I was watching random fight scenes from tv shows on youtube, I saw the thumbnail to the Albino fight scene in Banshee at one point. I watched it and was absolutely blown away. I had to watch the show at that point. I started the first episode and was hooked, then I binged all three seasons. I still have to watch season 4. One of my all time favourite shows.

Intrigued because Alan Ball was Exec Producer. This is the same man who bought us American Beauty, Six Feet Under and True Blood I knew it would be a hit, my only concern would he drag the story line out like in his last two. Much to my dismay this should have gotten a 5th season. Now you can watch Hood or whatever his name was on American Gothic Weds on CBS.

Saw the poster, saw it was on cinemax, had seen Strike Back, from the name I thought it was about a Banshee (didn't take too close a look at the poster), tried ep1. From the point that by-stander got shot in the head I knew this was the show for me.
(pity about the final season though) -

Watched the 3rd episode of the show on tv by just happening to have the tv turned on at night. Then I watched the first two eps and the third again. There was no coming back. Luckily for me, the series had ended just 2 months ago I was able to watch them all straight.

I was getting free Showtime due to some promotion from DirecTV. I decided to check out the Showtime original shows, and started watching Banshee even though Id never heard of it.
Ive still never met anyone IRL who watches it. I told a buddy to watch it, but he quit after Season 1 as he didnt care for it. -

Received a Cinemax ad in the mail with Hood on the cover of the flyer. The title sounded intriguing and the character looked like he meant serious business, so I checked it out on a streaming website. About a week later, I ended up buying Seasons 1 & 2 on blu-ray in preparation for Season 3.

I've had a crush on Ivana Milicevic going back years. I heard she was going to be in this and decided to give it a look. Ironically, she plays my least favorite character of the entire show's main cast.

I don't remember what the title was, but I clicked on a video here on the imdb home page where someone talked about how it was worth watching so I checked it out.

It was mentioned a lot on Imdb and other message boards .
I just finished the first episode; so far, it's a contender for the most corny, most cliched TV show I have ever watched .
But it's early days, maybe it gets better .
The lead actor is hopeless, though, as generic as it gets . -

I'd never heard of itI saw it mentioned on the Sons of Anarchy board in relation to eliza Dushkuwho is not even in SOA but was discussed as a possible Gemma in an SOA prequel..
(same way I heard about 'Billions" re Maggie Siff, SOA board)
I knew I'd seen the female lead somewhere, but fkd if I could figure wherethen I see she was recurring guest in 'Vegas", and I knew who straight away.. -

You go to that board too? Nice. I never see you there for some reason though. I really cannot see Eliza as playing a version of Gemma, but that's not the point.
Isn't it crazy the ways we end up eventually finding our favorite shows? Even through some minuscule event.
