I thought you said the death of Siobhan gave the show its best material? The death of Siobhan was so well executed and emotional; and what I liked about the show, is that it seemed like it was working its way back to Carrie and Hood being together by killing off their lovers (Siobhan and Gordon), but in the end they went their seperate ways, as there were too many sins that were committed by them both to overlook.

I did say that because it's true. It doesn't mean that I can't hate Siobhans death and wish it didn't happen. Hood and Carrie were never going to get back together and especially after the end of the 2nd season it was pretty obvious when Hood was ready to give up everything and leave to start over with Siobhan and Carrie to work on her divorce with Gordon. -

Siobhan was marked for death ever since Hood's identity was exposed to her (maybe even when they first met). Hood was never going to find happiness with her, as the show wouldn't move forward. They were never endgame, and never had the history that him and Carrie had. There'd be no action and story if Hood and Siobhan settled in for a new life out of the chaos of Banshee.
Siobhan was such an innocent person, despite her participating in the kill of Emmett's killer. She never deserved the death she got, but it made for AMAZING TV. -

Hood DID find happiness while he was with her, when she was alive. Just because they didn't have the same history as him and Carrie doesn't mean they couldn't have or that their relationship was any less important.

I never said you didn't know anything about the show and if you thought that than I apologize. No, my personality is nothing like that and I'm rarely like that. Of course it's not my show but I love it and have strong feelings.
I'm speaking my mind about it too because yes, that's what the boards are for. No need to get into a pissing contest. -

It's cool. It's just I love the show as much as you, and we all have our own opinions, but a show as good and underated as Banshee deserves to be discussed forever - by all of its fans. Sorry for any of the misunderstandings and misleading posts.

Indeed. I tend to get a little excited, lol. As far as opinions go, for the most part Banshee fans are the coolest at excepting and having conversations where some shows are all about insulting each other and mocking everyone's opinions.
One thing I like about Siohban and Hood's relationship was the fact that the writers respected it and Hood didn't just move on to the next conquest. Their relationship (however brief) meant a lot to him and changed his character for the rest of the series. A lot of other shows would have glossed over it and Hood would have went back to sleeping around again right after.
By the way: Did some of your posts above get deleted? Mine did too and have been by some idiot that goes around reporting all my posts. -

Yeah! Underated gems, such as Banshee, tend to have a really loyal fanbase - especially on these boards, which is great.
Everything you said about Siobhan and Hood's relationship, you summed up perfectly. It was respected greatly by the writers, and her death had a tremendous impact on the show - not for shock value (which happens on most shows these days), but for the story, and Lucas Hood's character. Her death was deeply felt throughout the entire series, and the writers never forgot about her, despite her being dead. Antony Starr and Trieste Kelly Dunn played their roles to perfection - and added even more layers to these fantastic characters.
And yeah, I don't know why my posts are gone, too?
