Her best scene was when she was relating to Hood that Kim Newton (Lilith) knew nothing about Rebecca's killing. That scene looked very natural and spontaneous. I do think her intro so marred how people were able to receive her thereafter. As for the crack/crystal meth whatever scenethat was the Veronica Dawson's portrayal nadir.
Wow. Everybody is so angry.- Ma'am, you cannot be back here.
- Why not? Everybody else is.
- Bunker, take this woman up front, please.
- Stay put, Bunker.
Special Agent Veronica Dawson. Violent Crimes.
Yeah, that always seems to suck the air right out of the room.
I take it you're Sheriff Lotus. - And you are? - Kai Proctor.
Mr. Proctor, I am truly sorry for your loss.
The way Dushku waved her hands around during that scene felt so unnatural and disingenuous. Even her whispery tone seemed so mirror rehearsed.
She did get slightly better by the finale. Her interaction with Knobhead was just painful to watch. Yet, afterwards her banging at the sacrificial table where she nearly bit it, was actually very good. Mixed bag this character. I blame the hodge podge way the finale season was handled. Clearly there was more intended than what we got, and 8 episodes with too much spent on the brotherhood and Watts Trump Rally and the stupid a$$ parole board stuff, really abridged this character's presentation which sadly damaged her rapport with audience.

I think she had some good moments before then (but also some bad ones, in addition to her intro), but as for the finale, I thought her interview with Lilith was good, and everything flowed from there.

Yep!
It's easier to fool people than to convince them that they have been fooled. -

Well, I think that it is definitely really great to see Eliza Dushku be able to play such a dark type of character just based on the way you guys have described her. The closest character that I have ever seen her play to that is "Faith" on "
BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER

She was really great on this show, so much so that I could see her as a spin-off from this series and I would DEFINITELY had been for the show shifting directions to having her, Job, and Hood leaving Banshee after it ended and continued with a "series 2" in Washington DC and abroad with maybe some storylines going back to Banshee.
There was also this ex neo nazi named Bunk who would probably be really good ina miniseries or spin-off that takes place in Banshee. had the show been likeTWD-big i could totally see that having happened. -

Yeah she could start every episode as she starts doing crack/meth whatever and tells her story as she walks back and forth in her 6" stilettos while posing with every other step. It'll be a sure hit.
I'd watch it! But then I'd watch ED read the phone book -

"I could see her as a spin-off from this series"
LOL, I actually still (after all these years now) want to see Eliza Dushku do a Buffy Spin-Off series with her character "Faith" from that show being the Star. Heck, they could call it "
FAITH - THE VAMPIRE SLAYER
". -

I heard that the Main Reason why Eliza Dushku wouldn't do a Faith Spin-Off was because Joss Whedon wouldn't be the show runner for it. He would just get the show started and then he would move on to other things.

Is Eliza Dushku friends with the makers of this show or anyone involved with it ?
The reason why I am asking is because I am just very Very VERY surprised (still) that she was actually willing to appear in the buff which is something that I thought she said that she was never going to do. -

It could take place 10 years after the events of the final ep and she's tasked with bringing in rogue slayers, working alongside Spike (make-up, prosthetics and CGI is so amazing now it'd not be hard), or perhaps another vampire, ensouled or not. It'd be a more adult-oriented show ala Angel with cameos and all that good stuff. Maybe bring in Xander since Nicholas Brendon could use the work.
I also think she'd be great on Ash VS The Evil Dead
