so i continue to be disgusted by all the remakes, sequels, reboots, and prequels coming out in the last few years.
the one that really got me recently is the beettlejuice sequel. wtf? so you are digging up a movie made over 30 years ago, 36 years ago to be exact and making a completely unnecessary and unneeded sequel? i mean it's been so long that the teenage girl actress in it who was only 17 when it came out is now old at 52. that is how long it's been.
we didn't need this sequel, if we did we would have gotten it 30 or 25 years ago. if a movie hasn't had a sequel in 20 years it should never get a sequel. the longest time after a movie comes out that it can have sequel is 10 years.
do you agree with my 10 year rule?
beetlejuice is a one off movie so no sequel movie like top gun, another one off movie, ferris bueller's day off, so happy that this is the one sacred movie that they have not ever made a sequel, prequel, remake, or reboot of. also casablanca, gone with the wind, the sound of music, the wizard of oz, and edward scissorhands.
it irritates me to no end and sickens me when they do this, when they made sequels to move made 20 or 30 years ago.
and when they do this it almost never works out great bc it is unneeded.
all the star wars movies and tv shows is too much. they just canceled the new tv show about star wars. and the complained about it being canceled but they are to blame bc it was woke, meaning they made storylines that were heavy handed about feminism or racial inequality. and this is a big problem now in hollywood, they get in their social messages in the plot instead of just making a good story we can all enjoy.

Hmm. You had this to say about The Godfather Part III which was made 16 years after The Godfather Part II:
of course it's underrated bc everyone hates this movie which is unfair. it's a great film i think it's a masterpiece though i've never watched part 1 or part 2.
BTW, I don't agree with the 10 year rule. I thought Dr. Sleep was a good sequel to The Shining. -

okay fine but usually i am against this. also keep in mind i watched g part 3 when i was only 13 so i didn't know anywhere near as much about movies as i do now so i have a right to change my mind about this after gaining necessary information and knowledge about film as i get older. also you need this knowledge and information about film to make this conclusion about the 10 year rule about movies.
so i might actually have a problem with g part 3 now for this reason, but i don't know bc i haven't watched it since i was 13.

Well, I'm sure both will get made but I'm certain the OP will see both of them and then moan about how they shouldn't have been made and how this whole starting a fire idea is a flash in the pan and won't take off
