Its like say The Land Before Time, The Last Unicorn or The Little Unicorn.
Yes there is a happy ending, but its wrapped in loss, turmoil. Very conflicting, deep emotions. So its a sad-happy sort of duality. Bitter sweet. -

Yeah, there's something underneath that bittersweet quality that touched me deep in my heart. I cried. Kind of like when Christopher Robin goes off to school and leaves Winnie the Pooh & gang. Loss of innocence. Maybe it's that Kelly & Yorkie suffered in their lives, as we all do, and in a way found their innocence again in SJ. And could be happy again for however long the machine lasts.

I saw it on opening day and I still think about it every day. It's sticking with me, it really made an impact. And I find myself at a loss that so many people here hated it and loved the sh!tshow police procedural that was "Hated in the Nation".

Having JUST watched the episode, i felt silly that i was so emotional about this episode. i think because i thought of my passed mom, my own mortality and technology. Then im taking a religion class to boot, so my emotions are all in a swirl over this episode. i thought it was just silly time travel and BAM it gives me this. Great episode.
