I thought the ending was very sad when they showed the old man's true self and how much he loved and will always love his wife. It was also sad that the cat they kept showing in the movie was actually her cat, She got it as a kitten in the flashbacks at the end and was so happy. Her husband took care of her "baby" all these years, as she died shortly after. He also bought her the bell to make her more comfortable and that made her very happy too. So sad that those beep kids jumped to the wrong conclusions and pushed him over the edge,

All the other pranks they did weren't that bad, they just had to mess with that bell 😕

When he told her all she had to do was ring the bell when she needed him for anything at all and he would come to her OMG that made me very sad 😞

That last reel flashback with the dying wife was brilliantly and beautifully done. Turns out in the long run the old man wasn't the nasty old crank that he initially appeared to be.
You've seen Guy Standeven in something because the man was in everything.
