please can someone help and tell me what she said.
It seems that every second hollywood movie always target china if not russia of starting a war, as if we still live in the cold war era. time to grow up. -

That stood out to me too, but a podcast interview with the screenwriter justified it a little (think it was "The Q&A With Jeff Goldsmith" if you google it and want a listen!) Through most of the film the only thing we see of the Chinese general, and the actions of China/Russia/Pakistan etc, is via Fox News-style sensationalist reports. The general seems like a war mongering nutjob until Louise meets him, and he's really warm and welcoming. Of course that scene is set later on in (supposedly) peaceful times, but there was something in there about how our perceptions of conflict and the actions of other countries are skewed by how our media selectively reports on and spins it so while it was eye-rolling to have China & Russia portrayed as the "bad guys", there was an intention there for it to be another take on how our experiences, viewpoints, behaviour etc are so influenced by communication and interpretation, especially if filtered through those with a negative agenda. We have no idea what really led China to take the steps it did in the film, only what the CIA and news reports tell us. -

Why is it eye-rolling to see China & Russia portrayed as militant states? Russia is currently fighting 2 wars one of which is an old fashioned war of aggression against its neighbour with infantry tanks and missiles in use every day. This is being complemented by information and cyber war against all serious players in the West that Moscow cannot buy or otherwise use to its advantage. Russian war planes violate NATO airspace on a regular basis. This has been going on for at least 3 years now.
Meanwhile China and the U.S. are on a verge of a serious conflict over territories in South China Sea.
