I have a couple let of questions/commwnts about the movie and hope I can get some feedback and answers.
How does someone start a dead battery with a chainsaw and shoelaces ?
If they were so hungry and in need of food and protein, why didn't the girls fish in the pond and streams ?
How will they have "plenty of food" with only one dead wild boar for meat/protein ?
Speaking of which, why hadn't the wild boars killed the chickens long before the power outage ?
How did the gas not degrade after six months in a can with no Stabil treatment ? Also how could the car start after sitting for several months without being started ? Did they run out of shoelaces ?
When the generator was run, why didn't they charge up their radio,tv's, cell phone and rechargeable batteries, if they had them ? Why would you waste all that excess juice on nothing ?
How many people living in the wet and somewhat dark woods invest a lot of $ into a solar converter ?
They had less than a cord of wood for most of the year. How did it last that long when every other scene shows them cooking food or making hot water ? I'm assuming that they boils their water to drink as well. More fuel needed.
If one was living on a less than 1500 calories a day, how does one find the energy to dance for hours on end during the apocalypse ?
I understood a lot of the symbolism and the beauty of the film..but seriously a lot of it was just pretentious. Too bad.
