I never thought Amy was a great actress. Also, I always thought she was a lesbian until she mentioned her husband Ed Harris. I Googled her and those two have been married since 1989?
So I was surprised whenever I saw that she had a role in Weapons and that she was the villain. Then after I watched Weapons, I knew that she had a real shot at winning because the performance was that good for her.

It haunts me. Very great performance. It's on the level of Kathy Bates' performance in Misery. The approach to the character, not the execution because Aunt Gladys and Annie Wilks are two different types of villains.
Gladys was apex predator. Annie was deranged sicko.
