I know the original actor diddnt like it.But just because he dosent dosent mean you have to hate it I mean honestly who cares.I know some people may say its gay properganda but the entire point of star trek is the future is better an everyone including gay people are doing fine an treated equal.An before someone says it dosent serve the plot seeing kirk banging women dosent serve the plot lol so who cares.Its just there to show sulu an his partner dont really see the big deal an before someone says its changes the character the character regardless of what someone who worked on the show may have said was never shown to be straight so who cares if hes gay the bottom line is i dont see why any one would care

I'm not against gay Trek characters. I'm against re-writing a straight character gay.

Here's a question was the original sulu ever seen having a relationship with a woman? Because if not then the characters sexual orientation is up to the writers if they want too.
