I saw it and loved it. So atmospheric and really makes you feel the sense of dread and doom. I think there is a season 2 with a different story?
I thought it would be boring too, what a nice surprise..

Yes, it's an anthology series so season 2 is a completely different story. I'll be on that when I finish this. I hope it's as good!

I like Prime too, it has a lot of 80s horror movies, many that I've not seen or even heard of, is that where you watched The Bog? lol, think I saw it there.

Grizzly
there. I love it for all the old stuff they have available. Netflix has the newer material so it's a good combination to have.

I keep saying it's so beautiful but it is! Certain things stuck in my kind, like that underwater scene (so many stunning shots in general throughout the season), and things like cutting from focusing in Lady Jane's mouth (beginning of ep 7) to the
decapitated-at-the
-mouth body of Mr Honey, the carpenter
. Also that final scene. Visually gorgeous.

i'll add some elaborate thoughts on the first season in a bit but besides i agree it's immensely beautifully shot i just wanted to point out that also the dialogue is so well written… just an example
Crozier: As a trusted friend once put it, this place wants us dead.
Fitzjames: Who is this friend? Does he also write melodrama?
