Throwing money around is not genius. Deadpool had genius marketing, because it was viral marketing that cost virtually nothing. Spending 200m on marketing is not genius.

I think maybe BvS spend about 250m. Suicide Squad was only 200m. And MoS less.

I don't agree with people who say MOS failed because it did not make a billion. Here is why:
1.) It was only the second Superman film in more than 25 years.
2.) It was following Superman Returns (2006), which while not anywhere near a hated movie, did not generate much excitement.
3.) It was about a character who many thought "outdated" and "boring."
4.) It was competing with "Monsters University" and "World War Z" in its second weekend,
5.) It was a reboot and the starting point of an extended universe, which would be competing against the already very popular Marvel universe.
Even though I thought SS sucked, saying it failed financially is ridiculous. -

Yeah. And the rest of the weekends, it fell behind
The Heat (2013)
and never recovered.

Shouldn’t this have been on the Suicide Squad board?
Edit: Nevermind, it is, but then what’s the purpose of it on here??
