We can't change superman being dead, nor the poor character development we've received from the trinity. So is it conceivably possible for JL to be good?
How likely is it to turn out at least a good movie despite the overabundance of issues with the DCEU so far?
And please try not try to just answer saying no it will suck

      Sure, it's possible.
      But it's
      really
hard to be optimistic about it, especially when these characters' portrayals are so fundamentally broken on a conceptual level. And, honestly, by the time they realised there was something seriously wrong with where Snyder was taking the series, it was probably too late to make any significant changes to improve the overall movie itself.
It's just depressing that I'm less than a year away from a
      JL
movie being released, a movie I've wanted to see get made for years, and yet I have zero interest in seeing it right now. That's a very hard wall to break through.
If you feel like Picard screaming how many lights there are, it's time to walk away from the thread.

It's hard to change something that isn't true. Superman isn't "dead". I mean damn, he's coming back in Justice league.

It can and it will succeed financially.
I've been a vocal detractor of the DCEU since its inception. I'll say this for the record - if the cast and crew manages to capture half of the exuberance of the behind the scenes footage, Doctor Midas could become a believer.

It is possible and I hope that it does break the spell of middling to awful films that we have received from the DCEU and be a great movie. Still I have to face the fact that Snyder is directing and while he is great as a visual director he is not very good as an actual overall film director, so I have to ask myself can he have improved from BvS did he learn his lessons from it and its reception?
To make a great film you need three things - the script, the script and the script -Alfred Hitchcock

You know they CAN and WILL change Superman being dead, right?
As for your question, yes of course it can. Anything CAN happen. If you had asked me 7 years ago if a movie with Superman fighting Batman, introducing Wonder Woman and Doomsday, laying the foundations for a Justice League AND killing Superman would be as bad as BvS ended up being, I'd have said you were full of crab apples.
Justice League CAN be great. ANY movie CAN be great.

No. Not with the steep competition it's got this year.
