I find it interesting that when BvS did really big numbers WW its opening weekend, some people would say, "But hey, it's opening all around the world at the same time, so that doesn't count." But then when it has a bigger drop off the following weekend, some people conveniently ignore the same effect, that the release wasn't staggered, and therefore it would make sense that it would have a larger drop off.
Lets not forget months of advance sales.

He was speaking to current and potential investors so it's likely he was using euphemisms to describe how he really thought. Afterall, he doesn't want to discourage them into leaving. Im glad he's being self aware of the criticism that massive amount of people have had towards the DCEU. This whole marvel vs dc feud makes fanboys on both sides blind.

And apparently the DCEU is losing a ton of money as well.

The ceo of wb/DC can admits, whatever the hell he wants too. But the bottom line is this dceu universe is tainted as hell. And a reboot should be done with Snyder, and his cast is as far away as possible from the DC universe until then fvck wb/DC.

CEO Himself Admits That The DCEU Has Been Awful
That's not what he said.
"The main thing was to launch these DC characters and reinvigorate it with their loyal fanbasehave a little more lightness in them than maybe what youve seen in those movies, so were thinking about that."These movies were very successful in the strategic aims and financial aims we had for them. They helped to reinvigorate moviegoers interest in the characters. So the strategy worked. The execution did deliver what we wanted. What you shouldnt take away is that you should be worried about this. Were actually more optimistic about it than we were. Were right on course, or better."
~Q&A at Goldman Sachs Communacopia conference
Later on he mentioned room for improvement, which is CEOspeak for "it could have been better." Hardly awful. No CEO is going to say that to investors.

CEO Himself Admits That The DCEU Has Been Awful
That's very much what he said if you read a bit between the lines. For a CEO to say as much speaks volumes. It's as harsh as he can get given the circumstances. -

True, yet still not what he said.

Do you find it even mildly offensive that the first audience they admit this to is their investors and share holders and not the fans? Kinda (nakedly) shows where their priorities are.

Hey, Wingnut9,
Although he did say that it could be lighter and they would consider looking at it, Jeff Bewkes never said that the DCEU was a mess. He did say that the films were hits and that we shouldn't be listening to critics. I think you are trying to blow this out of proportion to serve your agenda.
