Realistically, the DCEU isn't anywhere near being over

I'm a vocal WB critic (you can check my post history) and I'm seeing there's a lot of debate as to whether the DCEU is near it's end or actually doing well.
The truth is no, the DCEU isn't heading to it's end. It isn't a sinking ship like some people are claiming. Like any business, as long as they're making money they will not pull the plug on the DCEU.
MoS was a financial success. BvS was definitely a financial disappointment but still was profitable and SS an was outright a big hit.
The real struggle with WB/DC are the creative decisions. They still haven't figured out where to take the DCEU creatively and obviously that's already cost them 3 mixed/panned movies. Creatively they are a complete mess. Financially, not so much and personally I think that's more of a bad thing than a good thing since they are still making money with mediocre movies and thus raising the bar when it comes to quality isn't as urgent.
The DCEU will continue. Razzies and rotten scores look bad, but that's it. The key factor is always going to be money. Once their movies start suffering financially that's when they will reboot the whole thing. -

I hate WB, I think they are a bunch of morons, but yes it's realistic to say that when a film studio is making money out of a franchise, even if mediocre, they won't pull the plug on it as long as they keep making money.
Trust me, I would love DC films to be handled by other studio. Hell even Disney. But it's not happening. The DCEU will continue because it's making money. -

The DCEU is like a 450lbs 45 year old man who eats only fried food; it may not be at an immediate risk of dying but the ground work has been laid.
I have heard many people complain that they were burnt twice last year by DC and they weren't going to see another DC movie unless it had fantastic reviews. In this environment it is easy to see how a mediocre or bad Wonder Woman and/or Justice League movie could bomb at the box office. Much like a heart attack, this could easily end all plans for the DCEU moving forward.
