if i want something epic to hear, i'll play the 9th symphony
          no disrespect
i just can't understand why people think music score is what movie's all about
The audio side of a film is extremely important to the overall experience and a good film score can really stir emotions and change the audiences mood. For example as soon as I hear this
I know something great is about to happen I don't really get that with modern movie scores so much but WW does it to some degree for me.
To make a great film you need three things - the script, the script and the script -Alfred Hitchcock

Damned skippy. Almost 40 years later and I still get a chill up my spine hearing that main theme.

Or at the very least "memorable."
I can think of several more recent superhero films with a few good songs, but nothing really where the full score was 100% "epic."
For example, The Avengers IMO has a very good catchy theme. But that's about it. Other than the main theme, the music is at best "eh." The X-Men films have the great X2/DOFP/XA theme that caps off the opening credits, but the rest are kinda, again, "eh" Even The Amazing Spider-Man (the 1st one) had a pretty good theme from James Horner (RIP), but the rest was "Eh"
Now I know several people would hate me for this, but the only superhero film that has a really good score beyond just one decent theme song is Man of Steel (yeah, I can feel the hate) - "An Ideal of Hope," "Flight," "Arcade," and "If You Love These People" were all really good pieces of music IMO. Memorable, catchy and a quite epic. However, it still pales in comparison to the masterful score for Superman: The Movie done by the ever legendary John Williams.
How does it feel to be deconstructed?

BVS and MOS had amazing scores. TDK as well.
