Why is Ayer back? Why did he want to come back? Why would WB want him back? Did he and Snyder put a hex on the executives or something?
If you can't defend a movie without bashing another, you will be put on ignore. No exceptions. -

apparently the WB doesn't have as much problem with them as people wish they did. and this time Ayer isn't tasked with writing the story so it could be a better movie

I have no clue but, I can tell you two things that I do know.
This message will be deleted before the sun sets. And Geoff Johns is a "company man" with zero backbone and the DCEU is being
improvised
on a daily basis. There is absolutely no plan whatsoever for this universe r the characters that inhabit it.

Why is Ayer back?
Because - despite the critical thrashing and horrendous second weekend drop Suicide Squad received, it was still a box office success. And since WB is in the business of making money over making quality movies (as is every movie studio), then of course; bring back the guy who helped make them three quarters of a billion dollars.
How does it feel to be deconstructed? -

It's a shame WB had to rip off the title of a Fan Made short-film from 2014 where Poison Ivy, Catwoman and Harley Quinn team up to do business as their unhealthy alliance begins to crumble..
I know there's a Gotham City Sirens series of comics but still. -

but that idea had been in the Batman the Animated Show when Harley wasn't attached to Joker, she was hanging out with Ivy & Cat.
it can be seen either as a sign that the WB has faith in what they are doing or it can be seen as the worst thing that they could possibly do.. guess it's all in the perspective.
