Dark Knight Rises honestly had alot of useless plot threads as well

Dark Knight Rises is a very mediocre and bland mess.
The third film in a series is a notoriously tough nut to crack in any genre, especially superhero movies but TDKR stands head and shoulders above most of them.
It was like he was bored with it and just went through the motions
If that was the case, I wish more directors would "go through the motions" like Nolan does. -

I don't think that using The Dark Knight Rises as your reference is such a good idea considering that it was clearly very inferior to the other two movies in the trilogy.
Why didn't Bane and Talia just simply kill Bruce rather than throw him into the pit? Did they want to risk him possibly escaping,
I guess they read somewhere that this was meant to be a realistic film and did not even consider that punching a broken back would fix it could possibly have a chance of happening.
To make a great film you need three things - the script, the script and the script -Alfred Hitchcock -

I said this earlier. The Dark Knight Rises wasn't much different than Batman v superman in terms of quality but everyone ate it up like it was New York Strip. Marvel and the Avengers definitely had to have changed the game when it comes to comic book movies.

TDKR may have issues here and there but it's nowhere close to the disjointed mess that BvS was
everyone ate it up like it was New York Strip.
Mainly because they didn't judge it for how well it coincided with their expectations of what a sequel to TDK should be. -

Atleast DKR was coherent and better paced, and outside of its shoddy fight choreography at points, it's still objectively more well made than BvS. Sure, they made the mistake of upping the tone for unearned pathos, but BvS didn't even have a semblance of a thread connecting scenes
