    Sorry, saw the twins thing before in Robert Mulligan's 1972 adaption of Tom Tryon's novel, "The Other." Didn't think "Goodnight Mommy" was direct plagiarism but it's definitely informed by Tryon's story.
    One of the early twin reveals are identical and there's even a cat.
    "The Other" was better, by the way.

        I thought of "The Other" while watching this movie as well. Especially during the ending. Both movies are excellent.

          I thought of The Other as soon I saw the twins playing in the beginning, but in that film it was hard to tell that one boy wasn't real, while this film made it very obvious. Both would make a good double feature movie night, though.
          Revenge is a dish that best goes stale.
