When a Brit ****s on the US, I get defensive and am like, no. The UK sucks too much to be judging the US. Sure, you got the NHS and some other **** that's better, but you also have Tories, more transphobes, ****ty food (especially Mexican), boring weather, boring TV the royals, and accents as annoying as the ones in the American south.

No, more to make an impact with language. Bettter than getting bogged down by mincing words.
My community is kind of an oasis in a sea of right wingedness. My neighborhood is blue. Though, Democrats aren't my people either, but they at least pay lip service to things like LGBTQ rights and ****. Mot that they follow through, and they are just as capitalist as Republicans. Look what they did to Bernie, and he's not even a socialist. But yeah, I'm in a college town with a high black population. Also not far from New Orleans, another oasis in the south. Even the accents are more like NY's than Alabama's.
I love Portland, but weirdly, there are a lot of Nazis there. Also too white for my taste. I love my black people here.
One more thing: I don't believe in running from problems. I don't want a safe space where everyone agrees with me. I want to change where I am or at least offer refuge for similar people stuck here.

(especially Mexican)
What does that mean? Mexican food isn't big here, there are no Mexicans in Britain.

I exaggerate. Fish and chips are okay. We are big into seafood in Louisiana. Your breakfast sucks. I actually like Marmite, but can see why people hate it. I love beer, and it reminds me of beer or when someone puts too much yeast in home-made bread. But like, I've tried or known trustworthy people who tried a lot of other stuff. I always hear that you never get Mexican or Texmex in the UK.
The beans on toast thing is gross.
