She had a button under her armrest Bobby. I'm not sure as to why the flames exist but I think it's meant to suggest haste brought on by said button.
Had little Sammy written into Blue Peter with this as his idea (And he himself was a wheelchair user) I could have let it slide. But this was written by a fully grown man who had just made a big explosive speech about how we shouldn't make a mockery of the disabled and so there's no hiding it that he was trolling everyone the entire time
In a tormented perverse way there's a lesson to be learned from all of this.
But not on a kids TV show

Why can she not just have a normal wheelchair and show the audience how capabable she is even though she’s wheelchair bound? Why does she need to have a SUPER WHEELCHAIR to compete?

You can make fun of normal wheelchairs and expect anyone to be cool with it
But superduper wheelchairs with rockets and turbo modes

Well it’s official then that if you’re in a wheelchair you HAVE to be a good person AND you are NOT cool unless you have an illogically souped up wheelchair with all the bells and whistles.
I’m just watching the Council’s review on the episode. I know that you think that they are a dangerous beast but they are being more REALISTIC when it comes to the criticisms that people have ie what Russell and the gang had to work against.

They are not daft, which is why they are dangerous.
But I think of them as a similar type to Shirley from the show. Somehow made to be outside of regular criticism because of their 'identity' disability

I might give them a go Bobby, but I think at this point they are just trying to run subterfuge for all their idolising Who and everything to do with it before because they thought it would give them more power.
After Gayman, and all the other things which have shown an exploitation of compassion, it's a lot harder to hide behind a shield shown, by many, to be completely false.
Not to say it is in their case though, just that they are under scrutiny by others who share their identity and so there's no "The Patriarchy" going after them excuse now

I don't dislike the person or them exploring who they think they are Bobby
In fact, I think that's a wonderful journey to go on and I hope they find happiness along that path
But you'd have to think I'm buttoned up the back of my head if you think I think that every person claiming to be going along that road is as honest and decent as they try to make out that they are
There are mentally unstable people who use that path for cover Bobby, and to say otherwise while putting young men into "Anti-rape" courses before they can go to university just shows how doolally everyone has got about what it up and what is down
