Shame.
Would have been better if they didn't cancel it but apparently it's the same show runners as resurrection so they'd need to alternate between shows every year which would have sucked.

Dexter's been bottom of the barrel rot pretty much since s5 onwards. It's still entertaining, but it's become simplistic popcorn entertainment, rather than an intelligently written, nuanced, high quality show.

Season 4 was the best season. But like you said even though it declined since then I still love the show and watched it all to the end and rewatched it. The Dexter actor is also perfect for the role

This is just a prequel so it doesn’t have the main cast. Dexter resurrection show will continue though which I’m happy about it lol

so far, resurrection is the superior show, so I'm glad that if they have to choose, they're choosing wisely.
