that matters and you can't change it. Put a dude in a dress, he's still a dude.

If someone is a man who hates football and hunting, he can simply be a man who hates football and hunting. There are plenty of men who hate football and hunting, and that's fine. Nobody here is calling that a problem. It doesn't mean he has to become a woman.
If someone is a woman who hates dresses and makeup, she can simply be a woman who hates dresses and makeup. There are plenty of women who hate dresses and makeup, and that's fine. Nobody here is calling that a problem. It doesn't mean she has to become a man. -

In the small town in Ohio I grew up in if you were a guy that wasn't into either or both you might as well wear a dress and more makeup than a $5 hooker. -

Gender is an illusion. You aren't defined by what is in between your legs. Plus gender dysmorphia is a real thing and most physiologists feel that a sex change/hormone treatments are the best way to help it. Many if not most transgender people tried at first to live with the gender they were born as hard as they could (Such as Mort who got married and had kids and played the role of the typical father who brought home the bacon.) but in the end still felt sad and unfulfilled. The same could be said for Gays and Lesbians. I would recommend checking out Alison Bechdel's graphic novel (And later Broadway musical.) "Fun Home" about her childhood gowning up with a father who was a closeted homosexual.

I stopped reading after your first two sentences because of how much I disagreed with them. Gender is absolutely not an illusion. It's science. Wishing you could be something you're not is a mental disorder. People can deal with their disorder however they wish. People can do whatever they want, and I'm not trying to bash those people. I'm not going to tell men to stop pretending to be a women or women to stop pretending to be men. Just don't expect me to call a man a woman just because that's what he wants to be called.

Yeah it's unfortunate when people have mental disorders. If people want to deal with their disorder by embracing it and pretending to be the opposite gender, then that's their right. But, again, just don't expect me to pretend as well.

Seeing a therapist. If a man thinks he's a woman, a therapist can say "Hey, look between your legs. You have a wiener. You are a man. That doesn't mean you have to love sports and hunting. It also doesn't mean you have to be attracted to women. You are allowed to have whatever interests you want, even if those interests are different from the interests of most men. Do whatever you want with your life. Grow your hair out. Wear dresses. Dresses don't have to be something only women wear. But you are a man, and that is a fact that you need to accept."
