It's been scheduled for 2024 for donkeys now and apparently it's all been wrapped in post and is sitting there waiting to get out to us
I was kind of hoping it would be around Christmas as it would be great to see Whoopi being a bird lady like that time in Home Alone 2 with Brenda Fricker in it (Whoopi got the Oscar for Best Supporting Actress for Ghost in 1991 and Brenda was nominated for it in 1990 with My Left Foot).
Just a Christmassy thing I suppose. But I'd imagine it would at least be announced by now. Lots of people like the books and I think the cast looks superb.
Be real nice seeing a sort of serious(y) paranormal African-American program focusing on the various communities that make up that identity and all the differences and similarities other communities can find with them.
I never got around to American Gods season 3 and so I'm not sure if there will be overlap but Mr. Nancy is played by the same guy in both and so here's to hoping

These people brought their craft to the game and, like I said, it would be great to see Whoopi being a bird lady. I think she could do an awesome job of it and it pairs in with that whole time in Hollywood

I can’t remember much about the book now, it’s been a long time since I read it and I forget things quick. So this family are really spider people and are part of a spider tribe of some kind from what I remember?

Anansi is a god. Like the Pratchett books gods need believers. My Anansi is a god who came to the US on a slave ship from Africa were there was a tribe who believed in him who had some members stolen away.
On the ship he gets his own kin of prophet on Earth and uses him to accumulate more believers (But not too many) and they keep believing in him through the ages keeping him alive.
He's one of the older gods, from before we had words, but he's seen us go through all sorts over the years
Anyways, like most gods he got a bit randy and now there is children. The Anansi Boys.
Humans with a lickly bit of demigod in them and this is their story.

Yes yes I’m remembering it now. And there’s two brothers in it who are main characters. Also they didn’t know their father growing up apart from when their mother was unwell and he turned up at the hospital wowing everyone. I remember that bit!
The Whoopie Goldberg film will fill in all of the other gaps.

Well if it's anything like American Gods it will end up going its own way with the story and so the book is just a sort of rough idea of what the story is.
We'll see when it comes out. I'm sure it still will, that's a lot of money to make this happen and unless something isn't being said about Gaiman those charges just sound like a messed up relationship and not a serial killer or anything

These Enders fans are really pissing me off now by the way, moaning and mithering over the Christmas Day eppy being split into two. They need to realise that this is a very VERY good time to be an Enders fan.

So what's the deal with Phil (Or Grant)'s car being stolen and it costing 13K and somebody happened to owe 13K to some bad guys around the same time.
Did they ever piece those two stories together or was it dropped?

That rings a bell but I can barely remember it now. I can remember Phil’s car being stolen but I think he got it back. I don’t know, it was a silly Bobs Bits storyline.
You see, Enders writers struggle juggling so many stories and characters in one go so sometimes stories will get dropped for a while only to be picked up again later. I mean take Bianca as an example…she’s been kidnapped and yet we haven’t seen her for two weeks!

I mean that's the first 3 rules of any kidnapping.
Does the camera never cut back to her in a dingy dungeon sitting on a bucket pooing and reading a Beano or something?
If not that's just shoddy writing and they're missing out on BAFTAs all over the shop by not using content like that

They showed all that for one episode, ONE!! He gave her a bucket to do her business in. After that we hath not seen hide nor hair of her.
The Enders writers even tried to make us think that she was DEAD at first like when I thought that you were last week. That’s twice I’ve been fooled with that now.

I’ve just watched today’s eppy of Enders. It’s ridiculously Panto Poppins at the moment with this Nish storyline so BRING ON CHRISTMAS!!!
