Maybe. It was also the tradition in the south to marry early and girls married as teens. All his previous gfs left him to marry older men when they were still teenagers (except Anita but she married soon after). He also promised his Mama he would marry a virgin home girl and not a hollywood type.
Imo I like June Juanico the best but they were too impulsive and temperamental to last perhaps. Anita may have been the best fit for him. But honestly, Elvis drove away all the good girls and cornered himself with a bad pick. So in the end, he unfortunately made his bed and was forced to lie on it. -

Yes. He had a type, though he dated outide his type. But Debra Paget (a crush he had), June, Priscilla, Ann Margret, and Ginger all looked like a young Gladys, his mother. Anita was supposed ro join him in Germany but the Colonel told him no.
