Seems doubtful. I've never heard of a groupie that was a saint. She must have had a major hand in the screenwriting process.

She wasn't involved in the film. Yes she was portrayed better than she was but you'll notice the Colonel was portrayed negatively. Priscilla is a big fan of the Colonel and sees him as a mentor, she tried to stop a book from being published because it portrayed the Colonel negatively. The positive portrayal of Priscilla is meant to pacify her because her beloved Colonel is portrayed badly.
Ps. The proceeds from selling Elvis' catalog, was divided up between her and the Colonel. They also conspired together to force Elvis into an unwanted marriage, so she owes the Colonel her current position.

Various books and everyone Elvis talked to, he told them Priscilla and her family forced him to marry her.
We also have accounts from others as well like Marty Lacker and Alberta Holman, his long time housekeeper since Gladys was around. I'll post their quotes here once I find them. It was on my phone and my phone broke down.
          Ps. Found it:
          QUOTE:
          QUOTE:
MARTY LACKER: No. “He said, “Look, I’ve got something to tell you. One of the reasons I acted that way is that I’m under a hell of a lot of pressure.” This was early December, before he’d announced his engagement. I figured he was bullshitting. I said, “Yeah, what kind of pressure?” And he said, “I’m under a lot of pressure to marry Priscilla.” I said, “Who’s doing that?” And he said, “It’s coming from her family.” And he told me Colonel was worried about a lawsuit. And then he said, “So, Priscilla and I are going to be married. And we’ve talked it over, and I want you to be my best man.”
ALBERTA HOLMAN: Down at the End of Lonely Street
QUOTE: On April 29, 1967, the Colonel told Elvis, Priscilla, a handful of family members, and favored members of the Mafia to gather at a rented house in Palm Springs. They were to all leave for Las Vegas in the early hours of May 1 .
As the evening ticked away, though, Elvis apparently balked yet again. “Elvis holed up in his bedroom and would not come down,” revealed Marty Lacker, who said that it took both Esposito and his wife to coax Presley from his bedroom and into the waiting limousine.
Elvis’s longtime maid and cook, Alberta–whom Elvis lovingly nicknamed VO 5–once addressed an Elvis Presley fan club gathering with an equally sobering account. She told of finding Presley sitting on his bed, tears streaming down his face, as the car awaited out front. “Why, Mr. Elvis, what’s wrong?” “I don’t want to get married.” “Why, Mr. Elvis, if you don’t want to get married, then don’t.” He looked at her intently. “You don’t understand. I don’t have a choice.”

Haha yes! I remember that shampoo here like 20s years ago in my country. I didn't know that went back to Elvis' time!
