Krampus wasn't too bad, considering my expectations before hand. I normally get disgusted by PG-13 rated horror-comedies, however I felt the film grows on you after re-watching it and for what it is, a pretty entertaining popcorn flick. Overall good use of black humor and homages thrown around. after you watch it again or three+ times, imo. From the darkly humorous beginning of the film(with Bing Crosby's "It's Beginning to Look A Lot like Christmas)playing during Max's fight scene in the background. And then add the black humor and thrills the film contains, David Koechner as the obnoxious uncle and his wisecracks. For some reason I could not stand his family members though, especially the aunt from 3 1/2 Men, who she was basically playing the same role here. The actual monster(Krampus) is pretty neat-looking too. The other pros included the striking cinematography, atmosphere(winter setting), and the twist-ending.
And for some reason Max's sister, Beth, in the film stood out to me. While she wasn't 'drop dead hot' or attractive, per se,she has a certain beauty/charm to her. Must be her eyes and petite frame.
It wasn't a graphic Silent Night,Deadly Night-film but it wasn't a terrible Christmas horror film either. I will swallow my pride and give it an honest 5/10 rating, maybe 6 at most. -

I'm an adult (63 years old), rated it a 6, and enjoyed it. It entertained me. That's all I wanted and expected. It was done fairly well, kept me interested, and the characters were all well played. My complaint is that it fell flat toward the end.

I do not know what rating I would give this movie. It wasn't terrible nor was it good. I just felt tricked while watching it. Compare this movie to others with the comedy/horror tag and it's like a day and night difference. I didn't expect a splatter movie(but please that would have made the movie good), it focused so hard on trying to be funny.
Having watched this movie it feels like I wasted 1 hour and 37 minutes for nothing. I get more satisfaction just typing on this forum than having watched that movie. It's truly a shame because the movie had everything it needed to be a good movie but it just didn't have the balls to go the length.
