I didn't have issues with the acting at all, but I agree with the language bit. I kept talking and talking about this movie prior to Christmas and my kids were all wondering what it was and watching the making of stuff on You Tube with me and my kids were really wanting to watch it and then I saw it and LOVED it, but I thought boy, I dunno if 'should' let my kids see this it was a classic Christmas movie in my eyes, but the language seemed a bit 'harsh' at times. If they had left the F word out I'd probably wouldn't have ANY issues showing it to my kids when I picked up the Blu Ray I'll admit I DID end up letting my kids watch it though my wife (who stays AWAY from all horror movies) was in shock the last half and told me, "If he wakes up in the middle of the night, you're dealing with him!" Of course she was talking about my 7 year old. Because it kept getting darker, and darker, and darker I kept saying "Stay with it! You HAVE to see it through to the end!" And they did. My son was like ALL the naysayers thinking they were all captured IN the globe and I had to explain to him WHY I thought other wise and DID convince him they weren't.
Oh and he slept through the night no problems.
